The Stock section in Businessware helps you maintain an inventory of your products to keep a close eye on your stock position. Each item can be maintained as a full stock item to keep track of stock levels or you can simply use it to store descriptions and prices. Whichever way you choose to maintain your stock items the system maintains sales and profit figures for every month for upto 3 years to quickly identify slow and fast moving lines.
You can enter an unlimited number of product groups and an unlimited number of stock items can be placed into each product group. Stock details include a 16 character stock code, a basic description and a long, unlimited length description, upto 3 selling prices, 3 discount rates, reorder level, reorder quantity, location and much more.
Whenever adjustments are made to stock levels a transaction is generated so you can keep a complete history of stock movements. The Stock section uses the FIFO (first in, first out) method of stock processing. A unique feature is the ability to pull in pictures of your stock items and store them against each stock record. You can then view an actual picture of each of your products on screen at any time.
A variety of enquiries and reports are available including price lists, stock checks, stock movement histories and stock valuations. Stock profit and sales reports can be produced for any month of the three year's figures held by the system. A re-order report enables you to produce a list of items that need reordering either for a single supplier, a particular type of product or your full stock list.
